In 2016, a first successful project was carried out in the Kingdom of Lesotho. Lesotho is enclosed in South Africa.
The initiators Xiomara and Tariq Getrouw from Suriname (South America) then conceived, set up and implemented the Swim for Life International project. This project has laid the groundwork for another visit to Lesotho in 2017 and continued support to the youth in preventing drowning common in Lesotho. Special swimming lessons have made young people more aware of the dangers of running and deep water.
With the foundation of the Help a Star Foundation, in addition to Swim for Life International, new projects and concepts will be developed, such as HorsePower and Job Realization. All these charity projects and concepts will help creating opportunities and provide education.
